Silerton Baptist Church had its “Fifth Sunday” church lunch on June 29. As always, the fellowship and food were wonderful. Wondering if there is a way to squeeze more Sundays into the months that aren’t blessed with five Sundays? New energy efficient LED ceiling lights were installed in the main part of the church. Happy birthdays were sung to Keith Cossar and Guillermina Tidwell.
On July 5, Piney Grove Baptist Church had barbecue chicken to celebrate July 4 and the veterans in attendance. The chicken was perfect, and the sides were delicious.
Jacie Reagan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stack and the late Doris Butler Stack, enjoyed a week of visiting with relatives in our area. Jacie lives in Holton, Michigan. She is a teacher, so she comes to Tennessee during the summer months. She was able to connect with her aunts and uncles. She even met up with cousin Michelle Watkins at Walmart, so they were able to enjoy a short visit. She spent a few nights with Aunt Gwen Lindley and enjoyed delicious meals prepared by cousin Mark Wilson. One day, she assisted her brother Joe Stack at the “Lazy Acre” farm. On July 4, Lee and Frances hosted a meal for extended family members. Jacie reports having a great time in Tennessee
The Frys would like to extend a deep thank you to all those who prayed and wished them well as they drove to Texas to take care of Marcus’ mother’s passing. Francisca, of Doctor Arroyo, N.L., Mexico, passed peacefully while in hospice at the age of 82. Francisca was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Judson Fry, Jr. of Tennessee.
