The Silerton Baptist Church community was happy to see Tim James back at his rightful place in church after his car accident, and Pastor Charlie’s sermon was most appropriate for the occasion. There was a plethora of January Happy Birthdays that were sung. In lieu of missing a name, let us just say Happy Birthday to them all; they know who they are.
Prayers for Anita Lambert, who is currently in the hospital or the “big house” as she calls it. Though not her norm, let us hope her continued good behavior earns her an early release.
Frankie and Mary Lynn Lambert arrived at Silerton Park to take down Christmas lights. They were happy to see Shawn Yelverton and Sara and their children. Shawn and Sara jumped right in and started taking down lights and decorations. Shawn volunteered to come back and take down the snowflakes on the shelter and gazebo. A big shout out to them from the city. Needless to say, Silerton, for a good while, has needed some younger people to assist with the park. Everyone agrees that the park is quite delightful at night with the lights, but with the aging community, help is most welcome and needed from our younger citizens.
