We are all pleased to see the various early signs of a welcomed spring around us. Let us hope that Mother Nature is not fooling us with a “false spring” this year.
Since March is blessed with five Sundays, a reminder has been issued that there will be a fellowship lunch on the fifth Sunday at Silerton Baptist Church. This has been a long standing and much looked forward to tradition at Silerton Baptist. There are only four months this year that have five Sundays. One would hope there would be at least six months with five Sundays. A more equitable arrangement would be to have the meals on the last Sunday of every other month, thereby guaranteeing us six feasts instead of a paltry four. Whether four or six, they are always wonderful occasions. An added perk being that Brother Charlie is somewhat more mindful of keeping to his allotted sermon time on those fifth Sundays – the clarion call of banana pudding versus the constant need of keeping us on the right path, proving too irresistible for even Brother Charlie to ignore.
Please continue to remember Janet Lambert in your prayers. Janet is scheduled to return home this week from rehabilitation.
On the goat front: An apple a day... Time for a grand deworming. Privacy regulations will not allow us to specify which goat(s) are in need, so let us just say all are getting their big tablespoon of “castor oil” and leave it at that.
