The Silerton City Council met on Tuesday, July 28. It was reported that some culvert work has been done by the county, and more patching and reinforcement is to be scheduled. A stop sign was replaced at Firetower Rd. Planning is continuing for another music in the park event sometime in October. Details will be forthcoming.
Pastor Charlie and Jeanie ask for your prayers for Jeanie’s sister, Gloria, as she goes through some serious health issues. Prayers are also requested for Robert and Wanda Fry as they both go through some medical procedures in the next coming weeks.
The Vacation Bible School group at Silerton Baptist Church wrapped up their program this past Sunday. Songs were sung, video presentations were made and certificates of completion were handed out. Many thanks to the children, their parents and especially to the volunteers that made it all possible. A special thank you to Debbie Ross and Guillermina Tidwell for spearheading the event.
A reminder that voting day is this Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Silerton Volunteer Fire Department on 27845 Highway 125 N.
