Dwight Steven Simmons, 66, of Henderson died Nov. 9, 2022, at his home in Henderson.
A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Henderson with Nick Ellis, Chris Simmons and Jerry Hopper officiating.
He was born in Marked Tree, Ark., on Aug. 1, 1956, son of the late Clarence Deverl and Evelyn Etoile Martin Simmons.
He has been married to his wife Heather for 32 years. He was a member of the Henderson congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served there for many years as the Coordinating Overseer.
He loved life and loved people. He was kind to everyone and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Heather of Henderson; brothers, Jerrell Simmons of Hot Springs, Ark., Bruce (Sally) Simmons of Marked Tree, Ark., Dennis (Mary Ann) Simmons of Colbert, Ga., and Christ (Sheila) Simmons of Jonesboro, Ark.; father and mother-in-laws, Stuart and Candice MacDiarmid of Henderson; sister-in-laws, Heidi (Eric) Dawson, Sarah (Nick) Ellis and Molly (Justin) Sloat; brother-in-law, Stuart (Stacey) MacDiarmid; nieces, Dawn Ellis, Lana Simmons, Addison Ellis and Madelein MacDiarmid; and nephews, Ben Simmons, Tyler Simmons, Harrison Ellis and Trent MacDiarmid.
