A storm front moving through the area Monday, June 1, resulted in an extended power outage through the Henderson area as well as a fire at a Third Street residence. According to first responders on the scene, as the storm moved in, a large tree fell across Third Street, knocking over a power pole and bringing down power lines. The down lines traveled back across the road to the residence where the fire broke out. There were no injuries, and the City of Henderson Fire Department was quickly on scene assisted by the Chester County Fire Department.
