Hello from Sweetlips! Hope this finds everyone doing well and tolerating the warm temperatures. The last storm that came through dumped a huge tree that fell from about 30 feet out in the woods onto my shed. There was no major damage, but there was a lot of cutting, dragging and clean up. Thanks to Kyle Pickett and Matthew Greer for the clean up.
Our families took a few days to take the kids to the mountains, which were beautiful. We were close up with some of the wild life, as a quite large black bear ran right in front of our car. There was a huge park with all kinds of rides for all ages. Some of the kids wanted to go back for a second day. Most of the adults work every day, so it was a good bonding time. There were six kids and five adults. It was a great trip, but I sure was glad to get back home.
Sweetlips Baptist Church will be holding its revival beginning at 7 p.m. nightly June 16-20. Bro. Howard Goolsby will be holding services, so if you are feeling kind of low and need a little blessing, please join them.
Please remember all of those sick or shut-in that might need to be checked on. Remember Wendall Murphy who is recovering from surgery; Neal Kinchen who is facing surgery; Alton Kinchen who is undergoing surgery.
