Talmo Johnson, 98, of Henderson, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025. The family received friends from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, with service immediately following at 3 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Henderson. Rev. Taylor Johnson officiated.
Born Sept. 20, 1927, in Decatur County, he was the son of Floyd Johnson and Maynard Creasy Johnson. For over 80 years, he loved farming, trading and selling farm machinery and raising cattle.
He enjoyed the many friendships that were made throughout his lifetime.
He was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church where he served and attended faithfully for over 40 years. He adored his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Tony Tal (Kimberly Abington) Johnson of Jackson; three grandchildren, Taylor (Jenai), Tate Johnson and Jordan (Hillary); and great-grandchildren, Graham and Molly-Anne, Peyton, Baker and Tripp Johnson and Abbie (Garrett) Ellis.
He was preceded in death by wife of 68 years, Mary Sue Coyle Johnson; a son, Dennis Harold Johnson; his parents, Floyd and Maynard Johnson; and four siblings, J.W. Johnson, O. C. Johnson, Avioys Johnson and Tavy Johnson Priddy.
