The Jackson Symphony celebrates America250 with FREE concert in Henderson

Posted

The Jackson Symphony will bring its seventh annual Symphony on the Move Tour to Henderson at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Chester County Court House as part of a free regional America250 celebration across West Tennessee.
The outdoor concert will feature featured vocalist Joshua Carswell alongside YOUR Jackson Symphony performing iconic American songs, patriotic favorites, and beloved classics in a family-friendly evening of live music.
This year’s Symphony on the Move Tour is made possible in part through a $60,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts as part of the nationwide America250 initiative commemorating the nation’s 250th birthday.
Known throughout the region for his dynamic vocals and engaging stage presence, Carswell will lead audiences through a musical celebration of American traditions and timeless favorites.
“Symphony on the Move is about bringing people together through music,” said Sherry Freeman, CEO of The Jackson Symphony. “We are thrilled to bring this celebration to Henderson and continue making live orchestral music accessible to communities throughout West Tennessee.”
The Henderson performance is sponsored by the Henderson Arts Commission. Community members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the free outdoor concert experience.
Additional Symphony on the Move concerts will continue throughout West Tennessee this summer. For more information, visit The Jackson Symphony
