Upcoming Event
Thursday, September 1

Chester County Library will host the Fourth Annual Library Card Sign-up Event in a come and go from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Children ages 5-17 will be entered in a drawing for a free book and the DVD bundle “Sing” and “Sing 2.” A free book will be available to those ages 5-17 that receive their first library card during this event. Not to parents/Legal guardians: Children ages 5 and up can get a library card. A legal guardian or parent must be present for a child under the age of 14 years of age to obtain a library card. Parents or guardians must bring a piece of mail showing your name and current mailing address and your photo ID (It is ok if Photo ID address is incorrect).
Library Events
Library Closure: Sept. 3 and Sept. 5 in honor of Labor Day.
Story Time- Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. Children as young as six months old attend our storytimes. Open to all ages. September Story Time themes: 9/6: International Day of Charity; 9/13: Grandparent’s Day; 9/20: Nature; 9/27: Special Guest Ms. Bailey from Chester County Recycling Hub will read a story. Sept. 6 International Day of Charity Storytime - Bring non-perishable food items or school supply items to Storytime to help support our students! All items will be delivered to Eagles’ Edge.
Book Club for Adults- September 8 at 5:30 pm. Discussion of The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
Library Board Meeting- September 15 at 5 p.m. Go to www.chestercountylibrary.net for more information about our upcoming board meeting. 
Thursday Sept. 22, 5-6 p.m. - National Checkers Day Tournament with teen and adult brackets and grand prizes for each bracket.
Q&A and Book Signing with “Much Ado About Barbecue” author Sally Kilpatrick- September 24: 10 - 10:30 a.m. - Q&A; 10:30 – 11 a.m. - Book Signing and Purchase. Questions for the Q&A may be submitted at https://bit.ly/cclsk22. Deadline to submit questions is Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Banned Book Week- September 25 - October 1; Stop by the library to checkout our display bringing awareness to your Freedom to Read!
Teen and Adult Checkers Tournament- September 26: 5 - 6 p.m.
