United Way of West Tennessee’s Women’s Leadership Council is excited to present the ninth annual First Ladies’ Luncheon, one of United Way’s largest fundraising events. This year, the luncheon will return indoors at the Jackson Fairgrounds at noon, on April 7.
The First Ladies’ Luncheon is a unique event where companies and organizations across West Tennessee gather to celebrate the impact of local women within the community. Another unique feature is the impressive and diverse set of tablescapes, each which are decorated based on every organization’s personal taste and style. Attendees are invited to preview these tables an hour before the event starts. Lunch will be served by Gourmet Your Way.
“We are so thrilled to host another elegant event indoors at the Fairgrounds this year. “It is always a privilege to support the community through the luncheon,” said Anita Kay Archer, Chair of the Women’s Leadership Council. “We have many wonderful leading women in our region, and this is our chance to celebrate their accomplishments.”
This year’s keynote speaker will feature Founder/President of Thistle Farms in Nashville, Becca Stevens. As an entrepreneurial leader, she has established 10 justice initiatives and has raised over $55 million in funding. Stevens leads important conversations across the country through speaking, advocating, preaching, and writing.
“Our keynote speaker has always been the highlight of our First Ladies’ Luncheon,” said Matt Marshall, United Way President/CEO. “This is certainly true for Becca Stevens, and we are eager to hear about her justice work and impact on behalf of the most vulnerable women in our community.” Individual tickets and table sponsorships can be purchased at uwwt.org/news-and-events/fll.html or by emailing kchambers@unitedway.tn.org.
