Eagles drop pair of home games against JCS and Madison

The Chester County Eagles were back in action last week, hosting Jackson Christian School on Tuesday, Dec. 9, before returning to the floor on Friday, Dec. 12, against Madison.
On Tuesday night, Chester County hosted JCS in a competitive non-district matchup but fell 62–41. JCS held an 11–6 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 27–18 by halftime. Chester County continued to battle, but a strong third quarter pushed JCS ahead 46–28 heading into the final period.
Timothy Goodman led the Eagles with 10 points, while Jaden Weaver, Elam Murphy and Jaden Williams each contributed 8 points in the loss.
On Friday night, Chester County faced a tough Madison squad and dropped a 62–36 decision. Madison jumped out to a 24–8 lead after the first quarter and maintained control throughout the first half, leading 39–16 at the break. The visitors extended the margin to 54–20 after three quarters.
The Eagles showed fight in the fourth quarter, outscoring Madison 16–8 behind a strong scoring surge from Jaden Williams, who poured in 8 points in the final period. Williams finished with a game-high 16 points for Chester County, while Lane Estes added 8.
Chester County will be back in action next week, hosting Crockett County on Monday before hitting the road for a pair of games at Liberty on Tuesday and Scotts Hill on Thursday. The Eagles will then compete in the Milan Christmas Tournament on December 19–20 as they continue to gain experience and prepare for the heart of the season.
