Join Chester County UT Extension and Family & Consumer Sciences for free community line dancing from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays (Apr. 28-May 26) at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion in Henderson. This event is open to all ages.
Hickory Corner Community Center Homecoming May 23
The Hickory Corner Community Cetner is hosting its annual homecoming beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at its location on Highway 225. Available for purchase will be pulled pork barbecue plates with baked beans and slaw. Also available will be barbecued bologna, hot dogs, chips, desserts and soft drinks. Activities include an antique tractor display, musical entertainment from 11 a.m.-noon, a noon cake auction, a meet and greet with local candidates and a cake walk. There will also be a silent auction, which will end at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to join us for a period of good food, fellowship and fun. Wellness Forum May 27
The third annual Community Forum on Eight Dimensions of Wellness will be held May 27 at First Methodist Church in Henderson. The panel will be from 11 a.m. to noon with lunch to follow. This is a Chester County UT Extension event. The meal is sponsored by Lakeside Behavioral Health System.
The Chester County Democratic Party meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 28. The meeting will take place in the upstairs classroom at the Henderson City Hall, 121 Crook Ave, Henderson. All Democratic residents who are eligible voters of Chester County are urged to attend. Class of 1976 50 Year Reunion May 30
The Chester County High School Class of 1976 50 year class reunion will be at Saturday, May 30, at First Baptist Church in Henderson. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. Registration forms are being mailed out in early March. RSVP by April 30. Chester County High School Alumni Association’s Annual Alumni Day will be held at 10 a.m. June 6 in the CCHS Cafeteria. Please make plans to attend and enjoy good food and fellowship. Father’s Day and Juneteenth Community Barbecue June 20
Betterhood Impact Group (B.I.G.) will sponsor a Father’s Day and Juneteenth Community Barbecue from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 20 at 324 Harmon St. There will be food and bouncy houses for kids. Come out and celebrate. All are welcome!
America 250 Celebration June 27
Celebrate America’s 250 with friends and family in a fun-filled festival atmosphere! The Chester County 250 America Celebration will be from noon until 9 p.m. Saturday, June 27 on the Chester County Courthouse Lawn in downtown Henderson. There will be music, entertainment, living history exhibits and reenactors, food trucks and treats, a parade, tree dedication and fireworks.
