Line Dancing now-June 2
Join Chester County UT Extension and Family & Consumer Sciences for free community line dancing from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays (Apr. 28-June 2 at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion in Henderson. This event is open to all ages.


Class of 1976 50 Year Reunion May 30
The Chester County High School Class of 1976 50 year class reunion will be at Saturday, May 30, at First Baptist Church in Henderson. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. Registration forms are being mailed out in early March. RSVP by April 30. CC Historical Society June 1
The Spring 2026 meeting of the Chester County Historical Society will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, June 1, at the Chester County Senior Center. All members, past, present, and prospective, are encouraged to attend. We have important business to discuss, and your input is needed.

Alumni Day June 6
Chester County High School Alumni Association’s Annual Alumni Day will be held at 10 a.m. June 6 in the CCHS Cafeteria. Please make plans to attend and enjoy good food and fellowship. We ask that you use the ad that will appear in the Independent or on the Alumni’s Facebook page to let us know if you plan to attend. We need a head count by May 30.


Father’s Day and Juneteenth Community Barbecue June 20
Betterhood Impact Group (B.I.G.) will sponsor a Father’s Day and Juneteenth Community Barbecue from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 20 at 324 Harmon St. There will be food and bouncy houses for kids. Come out and celebrate. All are welcome!


America 250 Celebration June 27
Celebrate America’s 250 with friends and family in a fun-filled festival atmosphere! The Chester County 250 America Celebration will be from noon until 9 p.m. Saturday, June 27 on the Chester County Courthouse Lawn in downtown Henderson. There will be music, entertainment, living history exhibits and reenactors, food trucks and treats, a parade, tree dedication and fireworks.
