Christmas Bazaar Dec. 9
There will be a Christmas Bazaar at First Methodist Church, 131 North Ave, Henderson, starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. The community is invited, and entry is free. There will be a free photo opportunity with Santa using your own smart phone or camera. There will be a pancake breakfast, which will be pay-at-the-door and unique Christmas shopping, including homemade goodies, handmade crafts, Christmas trees and much more.
Church of God Toy Drive Dec. 9
Henderson Church of God is having a toy and food drive beginning at 8 a.m. Dec. 9 at Cash Saver. They are still taking applications for families through Nov. 30. For questions, call Sheila Taylor at 731-608-8934.
Hickory Corner Christmas Party Dec. 9
The Hickory Corner Community Center will host its annual Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 9, with a potluck meal beginning at noon. The Center will provide ham and brisket. Everyone is invited and can bring their favorite sides or desserts. There will be a gift exchange following the meal for those who would like to participate. There will be drawings for Mr. and Mrs. Santa, Rudolph and elves followed by a trivia game, door prices and bingo. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange, bring a gift valued at around $5. You may also bring inexpensive bingo gifts.
Seventh Annual Black History Program Feb. 17, 2024
The Seventh Annual Black History Program will be from 2-4 p.m. Feb 17, 2024 at 247 E Main St. in Henderson. We are inviting volunteers to share their talent with our community. Singers, artists, dancers and poets are welcomed. Chester County students are invited to create foldable poster boards about our theme, “African Americans and The Arts.” The poster boards will be displayed at different locations in Henderson for the month of February. Deadline for submitting a poster is Jan 26, 2024. This will be a free event that the entire family can enjoy.
