Wyneth Mae Rouse Watkins, 83, of Henderson passed away Feb. 15, 2022 at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Shane Connor officiating. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
She was born July 10, 1939 in Henderson, the daughter of the late Edgar and Ruby Ethel Dyer Rouse. She attended Chester County Schools. She married Billy Morris Watkins.
She had been a seamstress at various garment industries in Henderson and had worked at Mid-South Textiles for 30 years. After retirement, she lived in Henderson, where she enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. She was a believer in the Lord Jesus and new rest with him.
She is survived by two sons, Daryl (Talissa) Watkins of Henderson and Stephen (Sheila) Watkins of Henderson; seven grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Rouse of Henderson; and one son-in-law, Michael Brasher of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Watkins Brasher; and two sisters, Martha Jo Willis in 2021 and Lois Cowan.
