July 22, 2025
Vicky J. Ables, 57, in case 25-CR-43, pled guilty to count one, class A misdemeanor escape (felony offense) – attempt. She was sentenced to six months in the Chester County Jail, to serve, a minimum of 75% service prior to eligibility for work release, furlough, trusty status or rehabilitative programs. She pled guilty to count two, class A misdemeanor assault – bodily injury, and was sentenced to six months in the Chester County Jail, to serve, a minimum of 75% service prior to eligibility for work release, furlough, trusty status or rehabilitative programs. All counts are concurrent with each other and consecutive to Chester County Dockets 23-CR-54, 23-CR-55, 23-CR-56 and 12-CR-21.
Shanice Sharea Prather, 30, in case 25-CR-47, pled guilty to counts one/two (merged), class E felony possession of schedule VI drugs with intent to sell and was sentenced to two years in a TDOC facility at 30% service prior to release eligibility, receiving credit for time served pretrial, all suspended and supervised, and ordered to pay court costs plus $2,000 in fines, and to complete 48 hours of unpaid community service. She pled guilty to count three, class C misdemeanor driving without a license, and was sentenced to 30 days in the Chester County Jail with credit for time served, a minimum of 75% service prior to eligibility for work release, furlough, trusty status or rehabilitative programs, all suspended and supervised. She pled guilty to count four, class C misdemeanor light law – motor vehicle, and was sentenced to 30 days in the Chester County Jail with credit for time served, a minimum of 75% service prior to eligibility for work release, furlough, trusty status or rehabilitative programs. All counts are concurrent. She is to be supervised by Intensive State Probation, must complete 48 hours of community service work; there is to be no post-plea expungement, must complete an alcohol and drug evaluation and successfully follow all recommendations, must submit to random monthly drug and alcohol screens, must maintain full-time employment or be a full-time student or show proof of disability.
July 24, 2025
Rusty Brent Ross, 41, pled guilty to count one, class C felony aggravated assault – use or display deadly weapon, and was sentenced to six years in a TDOC facility at 100% service prior to release eligibility, receiving credit for time served pretrial, all suspended and supervised, a period of 11 months and 29 days incarceration to be served prior to release on probation or Community Corrections. He pled guilty to count two, class A misdemeanor domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in the Chester County Jail, with credit for time served, a minimum of 100% service prior to eligibility for work release, furlough, trusty status or rehabilitative programs. He pled guilty to count three, class B felony aggravated kidnapping and was sentenced to six years in a TDOC facility at 100% service prior to release eligibility, with credit for time served, all suspended and supervised. Count four, class B felony kidnapping was dismissed. Count five, class D felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony was dismissed. All counts are concurrent. He is to pay all court costs, probation supervision is to be intensive. He is to have no contact of any kind with victim or witnesses, must pass random monthly drug and alcohol screens, must be a full-time employee or student and must complete DV-26 class after release.
