Once upon a time, there was an individual who had lost all hope for their present and future. For years their life was on hold, meaning they were only going through the motions and just existing. Meanwhile, everyone around them, family, friends, so many who cared about them, felt helpless in knowing what to do to help the individual out of their despondency. The person might have even gone so far as to passively push people away, isolating themselves from social contact. This is a dangerous place to be in one’s journey with grief. The person may be feeling overwhelmed with guilt, anger, bitterness, etc., and attempting to deal with their sorrow all alone. This person had a lot to be thankful for in spite of their loss, but they were not feeling at all grateful, rather they were angry at God. They thought that somehow He (God) was responsible (involved) in their tragedy.
Within the feeling of being overwhelmed, they also thought God had given them more than they could handle, and just as they were planning to end it all, someone enters their sphere, forcing the person to postpone their plan. This new entry into the life of this depressed despondent individual unbeknownst to them would turn out to save each other from their life of sorrow and loneliness. Divine providence is an amazing work of the Lord that serves his supreme creation, mankind, within the laws of nature to fulfill needs that fit what we need. These two souls needed one another to realize they still had purpose and others needed them also. Now, how about your life? Are you finding yourself stagnant, just coasting through life? Have you forgotten that you still have a purpose to fulfill and that people need you? There may even be people yet to appear in your life to bless you and you them providentially. See you in group.
