The City of Henderson’s Park Board and the Friends of Gene Record Park are hosting their third annual Trails & Treats event from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Gene Record Park.
“The goal of this event is to provide our local families with a safe and healthy place to celebrate Halloween,” said park board chairman Mark Barber. “Besides the children collecting candy from the over 30 area businesses, churches and groups, there will be games to play while enjoying the walking trails at the park. We appreciate our local businesses and groups who have set up each year for the event,” said Barber.
The Friends of Gene Record Park will accept donations during the event to assist with future events and improvements at the park. The public is encouraged to follow the group’s Facebook page at facebook.com/GeneRecordPark for upcoming park activities.
