Two arrested in Harmon St. shooting

On Tuesday, August 31 at about 1:45 p.m. officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Harmon Street.
The following is information from the HPD report on the incident.
After arrival, officers were able to determine that a fight had occurred in the street, which led to one person firing a weapon.
HPD was quickly able to detain two persons of interest on the scene.
Officers also determined that other individuals in a vehicle had left the scene prior to arrival.
Evidence gathered led officers to believe that at least one person in the fleeing vehicle could have been injured or possibly sustained a gunshot.
Enough evidence was gathered on the scene that officers were able to arrest the two detained individuals. The two arrested were Aaron Holland and Stephine Mills, both had only been staying at an address on Harmon Street for two days.
It was determined that both had been in a physical fight with an occupant of the vehicle that had fled. One of the suspects produced a handgun during the fight and struck the unknown victim at the time, several times as the victim was leaving, one of the suspects fired the handgun towards the fleeing victim several times.
At around 12:30 a.m. on the morning of September, an HPD Officer did see the vehicle of interest and conducted a traffic stop.
The victim from earlier was in the vehicle and had numerous visible injuries and made the statement he had been shot earlier. He was transported to a local hospital in what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

No matter the size of the city or police department it takes a collaboration between the citizens and law enforcement to prevent and solve crime.” stated Chief of Police Gary A. Davidson.
Mills, 21, of Alvin, Texas, is charged with tampering with evidence and solicitation to file a false report, and is held in the Chester County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
Holland, 29, of Henderson, is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, third offense simple possession/casual exchange, unlawful carry/possession of a weapon and solicitation to file a false report. He is held in the Chester County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
Mills and Holland are each scheduled to appear in Chester County General Sessions Court Tuesday, Sept. 14.
