On Monday, July 19, at around 9:30 a.m., officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of West Main Street and U.S. Hwy 45.
According to the crash report, A Can Am Spider, driven by David Robinson of Raeford, N.C., was traveling south on U.S. Hwy 45, and struck Theresa Dye of Bethel Springs who was in a Ford Focus that was traveling west on Main Street.
HPD said that Robinson was ejected off of his vehicle, and was transported by EMS in what appeared to be critical condition. Dye was also transported in what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation appears that the Ford Focus actions may have contributed to the crash. This is still an ongoing and active crash investigation.
