Voting is well underway for the 2022 Chester County Independent pet calendar. To date (Nov. 29), 38 cats and dogs have been entered in the contest, which ends at 4 p.m. Dec. 17.
The top 12 pets will be featured in the 2022 Tails of Chester County calendar. The grand prize winner will also receive a gift basket with items for both pet and owner. And remember, participation is not just limited to furry pets – cats, dogs, hamsters, goldfish, lizards, birds, snakes, goats and other pets are all welcome to enter the competition.
This contest not only provides fame and fortune to the winners, but also benefits local animal rescues. A portion of the proceeds will be donated the City of Henderson Animal Control, Funny Farm Rescue Ranch and Loving Paws.
“We look forward to this pet calendar contest because it’s a great way to help raise money for our local rescues,” said Independent publisher Scott Whaley. “We’re so excited to be able to partner with these organizations and give back.”
Pets can be entered in the contest and also voted for at gogophotocontest.com/chestercountyindependent. Each photo entry costs $10. Votes are $1 each.
Winners will be announced in The Independent in early January. Calendars featuring the winners will be distributed free in subscribers’ copies and will also be available at the paper office for $5.
“Don’t wait – December 17 will come quickly, and we wouldn’t want you to miss your chance to pick our county’s cutest pet,” Whaley added.
