The Nutcracker Dec. 13-15
Ballet Arts of Jackson presents The Nutcracker with Artist Director Pat Brown at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. Times are 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13; 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14; at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. Christmas with the Annie Moses Band Dec. 13
The PBS string sensation re-imagines the Christmas season with stunning arrangements of beloved carols at Williams Auditorium, 634 E. Main St., at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13. Doors open at 6 p.m. with 5:30 p.m. VIP Access. Cost is 22 general admission. VIP Access, which includes early access, exclusive meet & greet, and premium seating, is $35.

Cookies for Cancer at Cash Saver Dec. 14
“Cookies for Cancer” will be at Cash Saver Food Store, 410 East Main Street, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (unless we run out early) Saturday, Dec. 14. Cookies and candy will be handed out to those who stop by the tent and donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Carl Perkins Center Holiday Extravaganza Dec. 14
The Chester County Carl Perkins Center, 225 West Main, will host their Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 14. Holiday Mart will be from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be Boutique women & children clothing, jewelry, gift items, cosmetics & skin care, dip mixes, Tupperware, nail products, wooden & chalkboards, hairbows, keychains, picture frames, epoxy cups, vinyl shirts, accessories, purses, soaps, candles, shoes, home décor, home security systems, Christmas shirts, gloves, sports bags, children’s books, ornaments, door hangers, monogramming, custom metal art, embroidery, homemade canned goods, handmade dresses, wooden bird houses, boxes, Christmas trees, tables, breakfast and lunch burritos, Fresh kettle corn, coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, muffins, etc. (Plunder, Paparazzi, Mary Kay, Tupperware, Park Lane Jewelry, Color Street, Chalk Couture, Usborne Books & More & Lula Roe). Admission is $5. No admission for children under 13. Visit with Santa from 9-11 a.m. The 2019 Miss Wonderland Pageant will be from 10 a.m. – until. Ages are infant-18, and forms are available at the Carl Perkins Center or FirstBank. The Third Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance will be at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $15 and and available at the Carl Perkins Center or on FaceBook on the Chester County Carl Perkins page.

CC Republican Party Meeting at Dec. 16
The next quarterly meeting of the Chester County Republican Party is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, upstairs at Henderson City Hall, 121 Crook Ave. All republicans and conservatives are invited to arrive early to mingle and listen to some inspiring patriotic music. After a (brief) business meeting, the Annual Auction of really interesting items will be auctioned off. This auction is the last fundraising even for the year for the local GOP and all proceeds will be spent in Chester County. Anyone wishing to donate items for the Auction is asked to call Chad Cherry, Chair of the CC GOP, at 608-1523. Pre-registration for CC Head Start Jan.8-10, 2020
Chester County Head Start will hold pre-registration from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2020 through Thursday, Jan 10, 2020.
