Pre-registration for CC Head Start Jan. 8-10, 2020
Chester County Head Start will hold pre-registration from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 through Friday, Jan 10, 2020 at the Head Start Center, 1495 White Ave. You will need a birth certificate, shot record, insurance card, dates of birth of all family members, three emergency contacts, proof of household income. Commodities Distribution Jan. 9, 2020
Southwest Human Resource Agency will distribute commodities from 8 a.m.-noon Jan. 9, 2020 at the National Guard Armory in Henderson. New certificates are issued at the Southwest Community Service Center, 269 N. Church Ave. Office hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No new certificates will be issued on the day of distribution. No person shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation or be denied benefits, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
American Legion Davidson-Haltom Post meeting Jan. 16
American Legion Davidson-Haltom Post 157 in Henderson will hold its monthly meeting on beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Chester County Senior Center, 247 E. Main Street in Henderson. The American Legion is open to veterans and persons who are presently serving on active duty, with the Reserves or with the National Guard. We are also looking for new members to start Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion chapters to our Post. Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary is open to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of the American Legion, and to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives, and direct and adopted female descendants of all men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. Membership in the Sons of the American Legion is open to all male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of the American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in Service or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service.
