Chester County Democratic Convention March 7
Any and all registered Democrats in Chester County are invited to the Chester County Convention at 11 a.m. March 7 located at the Henderson City Hall, 121 Crook Ave. Visit TNDP.org for more information. Door will open at 10:30 a.m.

Beekeeping Short Course March 7
The Jackson Area Beekeepers Association, Inc. will hold their annual Beekeeping Short Course at the Madison County UT Extension Auditorium, 309 N. Parkway, Jackson, on Saturday, March 7.  Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Class will end about 4 p.m. The Short Course is opened to anyone interested in bees and beekeeping. Classes will be geared toward introducing the new beekeeper to beekeeping. Registration fee $15 single and $20 family. Registration fee includes the Short Course, lunch and membership to the Jackson Area Beekeepers Association.  No reservation required! Soup and Sandwich Supper March 11
Enville United Methodist Church will host a Soup and Sandwich Supper beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. Singing by Guy Wright and Nita Middleton will follow at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and join in food, fellowship, and fun.  
CC Head Start Pre-registration March 11 & 12
Chester County Head Start, 1495 White Ave., will be offering pre-registration from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 11 and 12. This is a free program for three and four year olds. Items needed for application is are birth certificate, shot record, physical, child’s insurance and proof of income. Children must be three or four by Aug. 15, 2020. Come by and fill out an application.

Chester County Republican Party Meeting March 16
The next quarterly meeting of the Chester County Republican Party is scheduled for Monday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Henderson City Hall. The Party will hold its biannual County Convention (Caucus) for all Chester County positions that will be up for election in 2020. This County Convention (Caucus) takes the place of conducting a primary election for Republican candidates for Chester County elected officials. For this year the only position up for election in 2020 is that of County Tax Assessor, presently held by Ms. Beverly Morton. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Mr. Scott Golden, Chair of the Tennessee Republican Party. Lifeline Blood Drive March 16
Lifeline Blood Services will hold a blood drive from 2-6 p.m. Monday, March 16, at First Baptist Church, Henderson.

CC Retired Teachers Meeting March 18
Chester County Retired Teachers will meet at noon on Wednesday, March 18, at Snookum’s. The sponsor is West TN Bank. The service project is donations to Imagination Library.
