Henderson Civitan Club Bluegrass Concert Mat 29
The Henderson Civitan Club will once again bring music to the farmer’s market pavilion at Gene Record Park from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, May 29. Bands include Good Times Grass, Courthouse Pickers, Providence Road and 7 Mile Cree. Admission is free. Concession will be available. Call Ray Eaton at 608-1947 for more information.
American Legion Post 157 Memorial Day Ceremony May 31
American Legion Post 157 in Henderson will host a solemn commemorative ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Henderson City Hall in Henderson to honor all military veterans who willingly made the Supreme Sacrifice to safeguard the United States of America. The public is encouraged to attend the approximately one-hour ceremony. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Chris Dunbar, commander of American Legion Post 157, at 731-608-5547.
Fish Fry and Barbeque Chicken Dinner June 5
The Finger Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a fish fry and barbeque chicken dinner from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, June 5. Dine in or carry out will be available. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Please wear a mask for your protection.
Cookies for Cancer Sunday Family Fun Day June 13, July 11, and Aug. 8
Cookies for Cancer will have Sunday Family Fun Day from noon-4 p.m. at Gene Record Park at the Splash Pad. There will be games, races, free hamburgers and hotdogs. Donation items needed are chips, candy, coloring books, children’s toys, etc.
Southwest Head Start Applications now
