Zoning for bed and breakfasts in Henderson approved

During the May Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen meeting, the board held the final reading on the ordinance that would amend the Henderson Municipal Zoning Ordinance that would allow bed and breakfast establishments as in R-S and R-1 residential districts. The final action was approved.
Another final action of amending the Henderson Regional Zoning Ordinance that would allow as a use on appeal and set regulations on Animal Feedlot Operations in the planning region was approved as well.
The 2021-2022 City Budget and Tax Rate Ordinance was on the first reading. The proposed tax rate will remain the same at $1.05 per $100 of assessed value. The next reading will occur during the board of aldermen’s June meeting.
The first reading of an ordinance to set water and sewer rates to be effective July 1, 2021 was approved. See the link to this story on the Chester County Independent website for ordinance details. The second reading will be in June.
The last item on the agenda was the authorization of applying for a Delta Regional Authority Grant for a water main extension along the west side of Highway 45 North in the area of the 1600-2900 block for fire protection.
