Ashton Jake Flatt, 16, of Beech Bluff passed away April 11, 2021 as result of an automobile accident Sunday evening. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at Sanford Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Smith, Pastor Darian Brown and Pastor Aaron Michael officiating. Burial followed in Chester County Memory Gardens. The family received friends at Sanford Hill Baptist Church from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 2 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the church.
He was born Nov. 5, 2004 in Selmer and grew up in Beech Bluff, the son of Paul Jason and Tiffany Michelle Newell Flatt. He started the seventh grade in the Chester County School System. He played alto saxophone in the band and was in HOSA, loving all his medical related classes. He was in Improve, a theatre related group at CCHS.
He had just started a new job at Wendy’s and was so excited. He loved to make people laugh.  He was a member of the Love and Truth Church in Jackson.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, catching snakes, tromping through creeks and playing with his dog. He hunted turkey, duck, coyotes and did all typical boy stuff. He was full of Life!
He is survived by his father and mother, Paul and Tiffany Newell Flatt of Beech Bluff; a sister, Eliza Breanne Flatt; grandparents, Danny and Patty Flatt of Adamsville, Kenny and Charlene Newell of Adamsville and Tammy Moraga and the late Jon of Savannah; and great-grandparents, Pete and Velma Ramey of Selmer, Mary Lou Newell of Adamsville and Linda Scott of Savannah.
