BARBARA RUSHING Obituary – Dec. 12, 1937 – April 11, 2021

Barbara Lee Mayfield Rushing, 83, of Jackson passed away April 11, 2021 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Rushing Family Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Daniels officiating.   
She was born Dec. 12, 1937 in Jackson the daughter of the late William Lee and Edna Ruth Casey Mayfield. She graduated from Northside High School. She married James Herron Rushing, Sr. on May 15, 1957. They made their home in Jackson. She worked as Secretary in the Insurance Business for many years. She and Mr. Rushing enjoyed camping. She was a member of the Poplar Heights Baptist Church in Jackson.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Bill) Henley of Henderson, Kimbra Lynn (Michael) Stanfield of Mercer and Karen (Teddy) Climer of Jackson; three grandchildren, Robin Salvador, Jonathan Reece and Erin Smith; and seven great-grandchildren, Mason Stanfield, Byron Salvador, Leslie Salvador, Nathan Salvador, Jacob Salvador, Dakota Stanfield and J.W. Smith.
