CAYLA LENON Obituary – Sept. 17, 2003 – May 16, 2020

Cayla Nicole Lenon, 16, of Henderson passed away Saturday night May 16, 2020 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis as the result of an automobile accident Saturday afternoon near Henderson.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Pastor Brent Daniel and Youth Leader Ruben Solorio officiating.
Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday.   
She was born Sept. 17, 2003 in Jackson and grew up in Chester County, the daughter of Cynthia Clayton Dismuke and Norece Lenon.
She had finished the 11th grade. She was a cheerleader for both football and basketball. She volunteered at the soup kitchen in Henderson. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and attended Jacks Creek Apostolic Church.
She was very involved in church activities. She loved her hometown and friends, vowing to never leave Henderson. She loved hanging out with her friends.    
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Dawn (Jeffrey) Clayton Dismuke and father, Norece Layefettee (Jessica Adkins) Lenon of Milan; a sister, Abigail Dismuke age five; grandparents, Cathey Green Sullivan, Bobby Clayton, Theresa West Reynolds, Norman West, Sr., Julie and Guy Catoe and Kevin and Shonna Dismuke; uncles and aunts, Lisa (Shannon) Clayton Arnold, Jessica O’Guinn, Shelia Prince, Skylar Clayton, Dylan Sullivan, Norman West, Jr., Candateshia West Pafford and Chasity Long; and a host of great-aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, George and Betty Parchman, Warnie and Lillie Green and Pete and Sue Clayton.
