Charles Whitman Obituary – OCT. 23, 1953– July 23, 2021

Mr. Charles Eugene Whitman, 67, of Henderson passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. A graveside service was held 2 p.m. Monday, July 26, at Cave Springs Cemetery with Ronnie Geary officiating.
He was born in Henderson on Oct. 23, 1953, son of Reva Dean Arnold Whitman and the late Harold Eugene Whitman. He grew up in Memphis and Henderson and was a 1971 graduate of Chester County High School. He worked for a short time as a mechanic after high school. He is most remembered for his work at Movie World in Henderson for many years. He later worked for Oliver’s in Henderson.
He was an avid reader and had a large book collection. He was liked by everyone who knew him and was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Reva Whitman of Henderson and much extended family.
