If anyone ever doubted the versatility of Chester County High School before this week, they learned a lesson this week. There were numerous outstanding performances by the sports teams of Chester County, including wins against rivals such as Scotts Hill, Lexington, and McNairy in baseball and softball and fantastic runs by the track teams. Though those were amazing to watch, the performance that overshadowed the rest was that of the theatre department this week. Williams Auditorium was home to the show “Catch Me if You Can,” directed by Jesse McCaskill and Carol Ann Williams. The talk was that this production was one for the record books and certainly did not disappoint! As someone who watched the show on student night, I found it dramatic, funny, and entertaining. Stars of the show Hunt Pipkin, Ben Clayton, and Lakelyn Lemmings tied off their final show in their long-running stint with this theatre department. All in all, there were 18 seniors in the show, each saying goodbye to Chester County theatre, whether it was their first year or tenth. We are incredibly proud of this cast and those who helped behind the scenes to make this musical great!
In other news, sporting events are scheduled for almost every day this week. Though there is a projected rain forecast, we hope to watch our Eagles and Eaglettes soar to victory over the next week! It has been another great week! Thank you to all who continually support Chester County High School in everything we do!
