Colt Anthony Plunk, 7 months and 28 days, of Henderson passed away Aug. 29, 2020 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Buel Maness officiating.
Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 1, 2020 in Jackson, the son of Felicia Pat Plunk and Charles Anthony Thomas. He was the First Baby Born at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in 2020. He was little ‘Mr. Smiley’ and made a huge impact on everyone. He was the perfect baby always smiling and laughing.
He was an inspiration, and his smiling face would quickly get you out of a bad mood. He enjoyed his young life and especially loved to eat.
He is survived by mother and father, Felicia Pat Plunk and Charles Anthony Thomas of Henderson; two brothers, Gavin Phinnesse and Will Staten, both of Henderson; a sister, Chloe Thomas of Henderson; grandparents, Melissa (Michael) Murley of Henderson, Rex Plunk of Henderson, Mary Foster of Luray, Sarah and Jason Bobbit of Somerville, Darex Thomas of Jackson and Bobby Franklin of Henderson; great-grandparents, Patsy Ruth of Little Rock, Ark., Peggy Sanders of Henderson and Callie Thomas of Jackson and Johnny Wayne Plunk of Henderson; aunts and uncles, Clint (Jessi) Plunk, Jonathan (Macee) Murley, Andrea Murley, Amber (Payton) Franklin, Ashley Pritchard, Kalyn McKnuckles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Leroy Ryals, Babe Ruth, R.L. and Nadine Plunk and Mack and Sue Murley.
