William “Curtis” Knipper, 90, passed away Aug. 30, 2023. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. He was born Oct. 19, 1932 in Silerton, the son of the late Alvin and Mary (Newman) Knipper. He met his life long love, Rosaline Hill, at the age of 16. He was a man of many traits ranging from barber, restaurant and store manager, farmer, and bus driver. He finished out his working years at Chickasaw state park maintenance. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. His favorite place to be was outside working, going camping with family, riding horses, training coon dogs and taking care of his many other animals, but more than anything, he enjoyed spoiling grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
