William Darryn Busby, 48, of Henderson passed away July 19, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Denny Broadway and Tracy Snyder officiating.
Burial followed in Faith Baptist Cemetery.
The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 1-3 p.m. service time.
He was born April 2, 1974 in Jackson. He primarily grew up in Henderson and was a 1992 graduate of Chester County High School. He had also attended school in Lebanon, Nashville, and Simi Valley, Calif.
He took college courses through Jackson State Community College, Ohio University, enrolled in TN Higher Education and was working toward an Associate Degree at Tennessee State to become a legal aid. He had worked at Tatum & Tatum in Henderson and Marcus Lipham Attorney in Jackson.
He had been an EMT and was active in the Sweetlips Volunteer Fire Department and the Chester County Rescue Squad.
He was a very caring, devoted and forgiving person. He was very likeable and never met a stranger.
His faith remained unshakeable during his long battle with cancer and other hardships. He often said, “God will heal me here or in heaven.” He attended Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Lou Nell Johnson Busby, and father, William Donald Busby; uncles, Jay W. (Linda) Johnson of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Tex Ray (Rosie) Busby of Sweetlips; aunt, Patsy (Kenneth) Davis of Henderson; and great-uncles, Talmo Johnson of Henderson and Robert Brewer of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, O.C. and Lucille Johnson and Ward and Frances Busby.
