ELVIE LEE SANDERS Obituary – Aug. 30, 1927 – March 27, 2020

Elvie Lee Patterson Sanders, 92, of Henderson passed away March 27, 2020 at her home. Due to current restrictions, a service of remembrance will be at a later date. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
She was born Aug. 30, 1927 in Chester County, the daughter of the late James Oberd and Estell Morton Patterson. She attended Chester County Schools and married James Sanders Sept. 1945. They made their home in the Hickory Corner Community. She was employed at Salant & Salant Mfg.
She was a member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church and a member of the Montezuma Community Center. She enjoyed Chester County High School Basketball and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Johnie) Sanders Schultz of Pinson and Pamela Sanders Clayton of Jackson; a son, Steve Sanders of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Barry Schultz, Philip Schultz, Brad Schultz, Amy Clayton Lofton, Ryan Clayton, Kacey Clayton and Christian Kafka; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Ann Morris of Bolivar, Ellna Mae Roland of Pinson and Barbara Sue Smith of Bartlett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Sanders (Dec. 6, 2016); three sisters, Veda Hailey, Arvie Bishop and Allie Faye Sheffield; and three brothers, Ray Patterson, James L. Patterson and Charles Patterson.
