GAIL DURBIN Obituary – APRIL 24, 1936 – NOV. 18, 2021

Frances Gail Colbert Durbin, 85, of Enville passed away Nov. 18, 2021 at Adamsville Healthcare. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Jimmy Dyer and Brandy Cherry officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday.
She was born April 24, 1936 at Hinkle and grew up at Enville, the daughter of the late Thetus Elbert and Thelma Maness Colbert. She went to school at Enville, and in 1952 she married Bobby Durbin. They made their home at Enville. She worked in the garment industry having worked at HIS at Saltillo, MKD at Milledgeville and Enville manufacturing. She retired in 2001. She was a member of the Enville Church of Christ.
She enjoyed crocheting, attending the Senior Citizens Center in Henderson, attending Sunday school, watching the grandchildren’s ball games and going to tractor pulls.     
She is survived by a son, Kendall Clark (Michelle) Durbin of Huron; four daughters, Brenda (Ricky) Essary of Milledgeville, Rhonda (Ricky) Pickens of Morris Chapel, Connie (Terry) Neisler-Hearn of Henderson and Scarlett (Scott) Henley of Selmer; 10 grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Cherry, Crystal (Brandon) Hunt, Kevin (Megan) Essary, Heather (Doug) Bartholomew, Beth Ann Durbin, K.C. (Adrian) Durbin, Thetus Neisler, Kimberly Neisler, Payton (Davis) Watkins and Camron Henley; and 16 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Bristol, Case, Ella, Cooper, Collin, Chloe, TY, Bo, Darby Jean, Teagan, Lawson, Russell, Roy Mack, Tate and Mattie Claire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Durbin on Dec. 29, 2016; two brothers, Ralph Colbert and Troy Lee Colbert; a sister, Virginia Maness; one grandson, Alan Pickens; and a great-grandson, Drew Bartholomew.
