GARY HYATT Obituary – SEPT. 12, 1963 – NOV. 19, 2021

Gary Mark Hyatt, 58, of Henderson passed away Friday morning, Nov. 19, 2021 at his home. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Jerry Woods officiating.  
He was born Sept. 12, 1963 in Memphis, the son of the late Paul Evander Hyatt and Frances Geneva Herndon Hyatt Conley. He grew up in Jackson and graduated from Jackson Central Merry in 1982. He worked offshore in the oil fields for a time, and then he worked as a mill operator for Ormet in Jackson, retiring in 2012. He was a hardworking blue collar man. He was Baptist in belief.
He married Becky Wickstrom on Feb. 1, 1986. He loved his family and many friends and will be greatly missed as a great husband, daddy and pawpaw.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Wickstrom Hyatt of Henderson; two daughters, Jodi (Rory) Romero of Henderson and Sherlean Danielle Wickstrom of Biloxi, Miss.; four brothers, Brian Conley of South Carolina, Mike (Ginger) Goforth of Memphis, David (Sarianne) Goforth of Florida and William (Tammy) Goforth of Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Selena Romero, Collen Bouchillon, Carter Bouchillon and Kysen Carter; and his best friend, Byron Holmes of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kyler Carter; and one brother, Perry Evander Hyatt.
