GRANT BRADEN Obituary – June 27, 1999 – Jan. 23, 2021

Grantland Wayne Braden, 21, of Henderson passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be noon Thursday, Jan. 28, at Shackelford funeral Directors – East Main Chapel. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery at Gates. The family received friends at East Main Chapel from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
He was born June 27, 1999 in Covington, the son of Stephen Wayne Braden and Angela Lynn Richardson Wakefield.  He graduated from Chester County High School in 2017.
He worked at Snappy Tomato in South Jackson, Golden Circle Ford and his last job as a towboat mate for Southern Towing Company. He loved four wheeler riding, fixing things, fishing and hunting. He was a jokester, always trying to make people smile and being the life of the party.    
He is survived by his father, Stephen Wayne (Rebecca) Braden of Ripley; his mother, Angela Lynn (John) Wakefield of Henderson; brothers, Cody (Hailey) Braden of Henderson and Lance Turner Braden of Ripley; a sister, Hannah Wakefield of Henderson; stepbrothers, Jake Wakefield, Wade Wakefield and Chris Taylor, all of Ripley; and grandparents,  Ron and Shirley Holcomb of Ripley, Terry and Karen Braden of Goreville, Ill., Jim and Judy McCarthy of Ripley and John and Janet Wakefield.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Howard Max Richardson.
