Inez Elizabeth Naylor LeCornu, 88, of Henderson passed away Sept. 16, 2023, at her home. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Keith Brown officiating. Burial followed at Henderson City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday.
She was born and reared in Gassaway, W.Va., the daughter of the late Merel E. Naylor and Cora E. Drake Hackworth. Her stepfather was Garnett Hackworth.
She graduated from Clendenin West Virginia High School.
She married Charles Dean LeCornu in 1957. They moved to Henderson when Mr. LeCornu served as U.T. Agricultural Extension Agent in Chester County, and she worked as a teller at First State Bank nearly 33 years retiring in December 2000. Mr. LeCornu passed in 2003.
She was an avid Bridge player. Many hours were spent around her kitchen table drinking coffee with her friends. She was a member of First Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Phyllis) LeCornu and Keith (Kerry) LeCornu both of Henderson; daughter, Belinda (Richard) Davidson of Milan; sister, Barbara (Danny) Galatro of Henderson; three grandchildren, Kurt LeCornu, Kayce Kilzer, and Ryan Stanfill; and great-grandchild, Reagan Kilzer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
