J. R. ‘SHORTY’ NASH Obituary – Jan. 12, 1932 – March 16, 2021

James Robert Nash, Sr. of Pinson passed away March 16, 2021 at his home. Memorial services were 4 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue.
He was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Pinson, the son of the late Wilford Dwight and Maggie Martin Tacker Nash. He attended school at County Line in Chester County.
He worked as a farmer, cut timber and operated a sawmill. He married Barbara Powell in 1952. They made their home near Pinson. He enjoyed fishing and working in the garden.    
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Louise Powell Nash of Pinson; two sons, James Robert Nash, Jr. of Butler and Terry Lee Nash of Pinson; a daughter, Susan Moore of Cedar Grove; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice Nash and Tacker Nash, and a sister, Louise Clayton.
