JANNIE MAI WHITE Obituary – July 5, 1943 – June 19, 2020

Jannie Mai Wood White, 76, of Henderson passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Pastor Bill Sims officiating.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 1-2 p.m. service time on Sunday.
She was born July 5, 1943 in Savannah, the daughter of the late Jessie Harrison ‘Bud’ Wood and Dexter Ann White Wood. She graduated from Hardin County High School in 1961.
She married Robert Wayne White of Henderson on Nov. 11, 1965. They made their home in Henderson. She was a believer in God.
She was a hairdresser, working in shops in Henderson and Savannah. She also worked in Memphis at New Breed, International Hair Salon with her sister where she was bookkeeper and CPA. She loved drag racing and enjoyed keeping her yard pretty. She enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne White of Henderson and Josh (Tonya) White of Henderson; two daughters, Samantha White of Franklin and Penni (Eddie) Estes of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Taylor Michelle Seay, Dylan Wayne (Maley) White, Mitchell Blake (Lauren) White, Tanner Thomas White, Kera Nicole White, Madison Elizabeth Adams, Colby Stout and Kelsey Trice; 10 great-grandchildren, James ‘Trey’ Patterson, III, Mitchell Brayden White, Karley Beth White, Lexi Faith White, Jaxon Wayne White, Waylon Luke White, Olivia Jean White, Hayden Stout, Liam Stout and Xavier Trice; and a sister, Brooxie Summers of Pickwick.      
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Wayne White in 2009; and a sister, Margaret Handley.
