Jeffery Houston Thomas, 63, of Henderson passed away November 16, 2022, at his home. Memorial services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Glenn Harris officiating. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday.
He was born in Jackson on Sept. 21, 1959 and grew up in Henderson the son of the late Edward Purkee and Altha Louise Hurst Thomas. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1977 and attended U.T. Martin. He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction business. He loved animals.
He is survived by his wife, June Zini Morgan Thomas of Memphis; a daughter, Brooke Pearson of Henderson; two grandchildren, Alex Arnold and Dylan Pearson; and two sisters, Janice Armour of Henderson and Judy Harris of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jodi Thomas in 2022; one brother, Jim Thomas in 2018; and a nephew, Ryan Harris in 2000.
