JESSIE HUDSON Obituary – Dec. 16, 1939 – March 19, 2020

Jessie Glen Hudson, 80, of Reagan passed away March 19, 2020 at his home near Jacks Creek. Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Pastor Michael Rickenbaker and Bro. Clifford Stone officiating. Burial followed in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday.
He was born Dec. 16, 1939 in Henderson County, grew up in Henderson County and Chester County Line area, the son of the late Russell Brown and Mildred Ruth Jordan Hudson. He attended Chester County Schools.
He married Marilyn Allen on Dec. 23, 1960. They lived in Memphis for eight years before moving to the Jacks Creek Community in 1969. He was a member of the Christ Community Pentecostal Church of Henderson.
He worked at McCowan Mercer Press in maintenance and deliveries and later for Great Homes Galleries if Jackson, retiring in 2002.
He was a NASCAR fan and was a good ‘shade tree’ mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family.        
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Allen Hudson of Reagan; a son, Terry (Carol) Hudson of Reagan; one daughter, Teresa Stone of Reagan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Willis Hudson of Huron and Tony Hudson of Reagan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tim Hudson.
