JIMMY STOUT Obituary – Oct. 5, 1940 – JAN. 24, 2023

James Gilbert Stout, 82, of Henderson passed away Jan. 24, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Clint Burkhead officiating. Burial followed in Old Friendship Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
He was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Steele, Mo., the son of the late Gilbert May and Juanita McBride Stout Null. He attended local schools. He worked most of his career at Finger Auto Repair. He married Janet Cupples Weston in 1998. They made their home in Henderson. After retiring from auto repair, he worked lawn mowers and kept busy. He enjoyed boat riding, fishing and camping. He enjoyed meeting his friends every morning at the Market for breakfast. He was a Baptist in belief.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Lynn Cupples Stout of Henderson; two sons, Johnny (Cindy) Stout and Jimmy Calvin (Coty) Stout all of Henderson; three daughters, Melinda Rush of Bethel Springs, Tammie (Robert) Heathcock of Finger and Krystle (Monty) Janeaux of Port Arthur, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Marion Stout of Henderson; one sister, Betty Jo Burris of Lexington; three half-brothers, Jimmie Ray Stout of Bethel Springs, Frank Stout of Jackson and Ronnie Stout of Henderson; and three half-sisters, Lettie Fussell of Henderson, Betty Baggett of Bethel Springs and Teresa Ley of Milan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul Stout and Charles Stout; and a sister, Sandra Kay Ayers.
