Joy “Bob” Daniel Obituary – July 2, 1931 – June 7, 2021

Mrs. Joy “Bob” Daniel quietly departed this life in the early morning hours of June 7, 2021 just 25 days shy of her 90th birthday.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson’s Crook Avenue Chapel with burial in Cabo Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 9-11 a.m. Saturday.
She was born on July 2, 1931 in Milledgeville, daughter of the late Claude and Grace Cherry. 
At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. She was a member of the Germantown Church of Christ in Germantown.
She was married to her high school sweetheart Robert Edwin Daniel on March 25, 1950. This union was blessed with three children. Edwin “Ed” Daniel preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2013.
She loved the outdoors. She loved horses when her children wanted to ride; she loved golf when her children wanted to play. She was a strong woman with an incredible zest for life. She enjoyed good conversation, especially with her friends, sisters, children, nieces and grandchildren.
Her window of life will forever be cherished and remembered in the lives of her family.
She is survived by her children, Craig (Pam) Daniel of Omaha, Neb., Connie (David) McLain of Houston, Texas, and Cary (Angela) Daniel of Collierville; grandchildren, Sara Daniel of St. Augustine, Fla., David (Jill) McLain of Houston, Texas, Victoria Bartley, Nicole Bartley and Nikolas Daniel of Collierville; great-grandchildren, Aliya, Orion, Marshall and Nolan; sisters, Sunshine Reid and Phyllis (David) Sain; sisters-in-law, Sylvia, Karen and Ruth; and a great host of cousins and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister Billie Sue Jones.
