Judy Ann Rogers, 79, of Enville passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at her home. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Gene Hanna officiating. Burial was at Milledgeville Cemetery.
She was born in Milledgeville, Sept. 9, 1942 daughter of the late Herman D. and Sara Frances Rainey Pusser. She was a 1960 graduate of Milledgeville High School.
She married Jack Rogers on Dec. 9, 1961, and they made their home in Enville. When Mr. Rogers died in June of 2022, they had been married for 60 years.
She was primarily a wife and stay-at-home mother but had also worked at HIS Sportswear in Saltillo and as a nurse’s aide at Adamsville Nursing Home.
She and her husband also owned and operated a grocery store called J & J Grocery and Grill in Milledgeville for several years.
She is survived by a son, Michael Rogers of Milledgeville; daughter, Tina (Russ) Burke of Enville; five grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) Sweat, Mitchell (Alisha) McKenzie, Felicia Rogers, Chelsea (Warren) Armstrong and Bianca Boleyn; and 11 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Lexie, London, Auri, Bella, Nova, Collyn, Jayce, Jayden, Willow and Anthony.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Anthony Rogers and Steven Rogers; brother, Ray Pusser; and sister, Edna Faye Cromwell.
