JURILEE ROUSE Obituary – June 22, 1940 – Nov. 18, 2020

Jurilee Weaver Rouse, 80, of Henderson passed away Nov. 18, 2020 at her daughter Donna’s home.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday at Estes Church of Christ with Roy Sharp, Donna Rouse Butler Witten and Roy Weaver officiating.
Burial followed in Estes Cemetery. The family received friends at Estes Church of Christ beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday.
She was born June 22, 1940 in the Laurel Hill Community of Chester County, daughter of the late Kodie and Martha Russom Weaver. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1958.
She married J.B. Rouse in June 1957. They made their home in Henderson. She entered the working force in the garment industry, working mostly at Chester Manufacturing as a production supervisor and an administrative clerk in the shipping and receiving office. After the factory closed, she was a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics and received several sales awards through Mary Kay.
She loved her church and spending time with her brothers and sisters. She was a good seamstress and supported her children in all activities. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was an avid reader.
She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ. J.B. often drove the church bus at Estes, and she organized many of the youth outings, including monthly trips to Western State. She and J.B. taught the pre-teens and teens Sunday School Class.       
She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Randy) Rouse Butler Witten of Henderson; one grandson, Luke (Sabrina) Butler; a step-granddaughter, Hannah Witten of Nashville; and one sister, Georgia Smith of Selmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.B. Rouse; a son, Keith Earl Rouse; two brothers, Jesse Weaver and Randall Weaver; and three sisters, Helen Rowland, Dorothy Morton and Gladys Weaver.
