Larry Wayne Barker, 81, of Henderson passed away Jan. 6, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday at Montezuma Methodist Church with Hiram Harrison officiating, and burial followed in Montezuma Cemetery.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Church.
He was born in Magoffin County, Ky., the son of the late Willitt Barker and Nola Jane Arnett Barker.
He graduated from Jeffersonville High in Jeffersonville, Ind. He moved to Houston, Texas, and met and married Madeline Jane Pippin, on Dec. 6, 1960.
He worked as a material clerk at Cameron Iron Works in Houston. After his retirement they moved to Henderson in 2000. He loved to play golf, going to Woodland Hills every morning if it were not cold or raining. He had a shop at his home and enjoyed wood working.    
He was a member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Pippin Barker of Henderson; three sons, Gregory Barker of Denver, Co., Samuel ‘Gary’ (Kim) Barker of LaGrange, Texas, and Steven Wayne Barker of Cushing, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
