LARRY CLAYTON Obituary – Oct. 12, 1967 – Nov. 5, 2019

Larry Varnell Clayton, 52, of Henderson passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue beginning at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.  
He was born Oct. 12, 1967 in Henderson, the son of the late Rufus Pete and Gladys Sue Austin Clayton. He attended Chester County Schools.
He worked in refrigeration repair his entire career. In 2009 he began his own business, Clayton Refrigeration. He married Audrey Johnson on Feb. 3, 2013.
He enjoyed hunting, antiques and his dogs. He would do honest work and would help people any way he could. He loved to joke around, though he was on the quiet side.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Mae Johnson Clayton of Henderson; three sons, Cody Kerr, Justin Clayton and Larry Shane Clayton, all of Henderson; three daughters, Brittany Kerr of Jackson, Courtney Kerr of Henderson and Chelsea Clayton of Jackson; two grandchildren, Jayce Clayton and McKenna Bond and one on the way; a brother, Bobby Clayton of Henderson; and one sister, Patsy Clayton of Huntingdon.  
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Clayton.
